One more day of holiday left for the Raya festivity. K took me to this newly opened ( abt 2 years) shopping mall located at Bukit Bintang for shopping and meals. We even watched the Korean movie 'The Tsunami' there.
The mall was very new and nice, its layout very well thought out, not too sparsed not too cramped, plenty of natural lighting complementing the mall lighting design...each boutique has their own unique signature window display....
The mall and its spaces...
We were there the whole afternoon onwards...lots of window shopping, ate our lunch at the foodcourt, Food Republic. Food was so-so ...nothing worthed raving about but i like its layout, just like the foodcourt in Bangkok's Paragon. Infact, this mall design recalled lots from Paragon Bangkok.
But looking at the list of shops lining up the mall, i almost thought i was back in Spore. Those shop names were so familiar like they belonged in a Spore shopping mall...( i wasnt just talking about the designers' labels) Infact, apart from those, I saw Cotton On, Tangs, Domanchi, POA, SooKee Jewelery, Thai Express, EpiCentre, Kenko Fish Spa, MotherCare, Stadium, threepointsix, Wong Kok Cha Chan Teng, Molecule etc... that were very much part of the spore's brands. even the cinema, Golden Screen Cinemas seemed like they were a sub from Golden Village Cinema? They all seemed like they were transported together to another country. Or was i getting to be nostalgic or homesick? hehe...
One of the shops ...Love the Monkey Logo & its bright colours
Anyway, it was a pleasant place to spend an afternoon in . Our show time was 7.25pm so after we bought tickets (around 4pm) we decided to window shop abit more and went to the Times bookstore to read. Then we went to Tony Romas for our dinner on salad and salmon. K ordered a delicious strawberry & mango Martini...huge n very nice! He also got this special of the place, fried onion basket. We ate till we couldnt finish the salad...So much of everything!
Our Food
Our huge plate of salad
We both are really getting fat!!!
hehe...
Our foray in the basement food area led us to find....
After satiated with food...
Next we headed over to the cinema again to wait for the show to start. Nice and entertaining i would say. Some very funny and humorous scenes, some were touching and sad. Great power of destruction of earthquakes and tsunamis. The worst to overcome was actually the bureaucratic red tape, of getting those in authorities to believe in what you were warning them about.
After getting our groceries from the supermarket, we headed home in a cab :)

Goodnite!
