'Actual' first weekends spent in KL

More shopping malls and Food (again)

Friday Lunch at KLCC with K

Vietnamese Restaurant on the fifth floor

I had some spicy seafood noodle soup while K had
something else...and we shared this nice meat stew....

Saturday at Bukit Bintang again

Star Hill, where all the expensive designer labels are congregated...

Layers upon layers of cold hard tiers of elegance...
Strange, I didnt see many Rebecca Bloomwood
around...probably coz there were no sales?

However, at the food area in the basement...one would find good ambiance and setting of any type, required for a successful night out with family or friends, or to wine and dine one's beloved ...

Dont you just love these lamps?

& the changing and reflected lights on these mirrors
everywhere...i felt like i was in a galaxy full of stars...

Familiar ? these signature logo? They were done in
the form of window display & lighting sets...

Back at the Pavilion again...

For a Movie...

We were meeting up with E & CY for a show... 'Redux :Ashes of Time (东邪西毒2)' starring Leslie Cheung, 2 Tony Leungs, Carina Lau, Bridgette Lim, Maggie Chueng & Jacky Chueng & Charlie Yueng ...

Well, it was quite a laugh, coz there were only a handful of people watching the show that night, we four made up half that number :) hehe...

Rather artistic show made from the novel by 金庸. E & CY had watched before so they were pretty bored...there were so much laughter over the eggs incidents, esp the scenes of dialog between Charlie Yueng and Jacky Chueng. haha ... Really funny!!!

Dinner

After the show, E brought us all to this very nice place to eat Thai/Chinese food...It was situated at Cheras...To our amazement, (the time we arrived was already 9pm) the place was fully packed out... We took our seats and hungrily watched others around us eat...

E ordered these dishes...yummy!!

The appetizer

'Their version of 'you tiao' dipped in Kaya

Mango Salad, are you mouth watering already?
I bet...
Grilled 'Sotong'

Huge pot of Seafood Tom Yam soup,
very authentic, with lots of fragrance from lemon grass...

and to top it off, we had...

Yes, the baked -over -the-fire-crab...

sweet, succulent and juicy!

A great nite out with friends again :) Lucky me!

Sunday
Out with Hubbie to the mall again :)

Mid-Valley Megamall & The Gardens

Found Lunch at Nyonya Colors

Food we had...

Ayam rendang nasi lemak...yummy

yellow laksa with juicy chicken pieces

Kuih Muih...the mouth watering savoury...
clock-wise: tapioca cake, coconut rolls, carrot cake, cream puffs ...

For desserts...yes chendol with coconut milk and gula malaka

After food, we walked on to explore the mall...
from the Mid-Valley Megamall to The Gardens @Mid-Vally...

Mid-Valley Megamall

saw a demon and an angel there...

The bridge between the 2 malls

The Gardens

Had coffee and cake at this nice cafe...
Good bargain!! 2 coffee or tea (of any choice)
with a piece of cake of your choice at only RM$14.90!!

K said the coffee tasted great! My jasmine tea was no normal (钓鱼) either,
it was made with real tea leaves, very fragrant and tasted good and not tannic...

The tiramisu was just heaven...moist and taste of mocca and hint of rum...

The cafe was called Austin Coffee

Then we were back at the basement going to the supermarket for groceries...

Saw this at Precious Thots...so sweet...

And saw this slimy thing at the supermarket...they were selling this as pets , next to this were fluffy rabbits too!!! can u picture the horror on my face when i saw this? there were more than one by the way...think of the poor bunnies, who were placed almost face-to-face to these serpents! I am not against them snakes, just scared of them...

Finally, this was the shot taken while waiting for our shuttle bus to go home...
that was the TM Manara tower
